How to estimate payroll for a USD salary

Salary Ledger converts the input into Lebanese pounds, applies the Lebanese rules, then converts the displayed result back using the same rate.

The exchange rate is an input, not a prediction

The calculator does not fetch or choose an official, bank or market rate. Enter the rate actually used by the employer for the payroll period. The calculation converts the monthly USD amount to LBP before applying tax allowances, tax bands and NSSF ceilings.

Conversion sequenceUSD salary × entered LBP rate → payroll calculation in LBP → displayed USD equivalent

Why the date matters

A different exchange rate changes the LBP salary base and may move the employee across an NSSF ceiling or tax band. Record the rate and its effective payroll date with the calculation; do not compare two results without checking that both used the same rate.

Mixed-currency arrangements

If part of compensation is paid in USD and part in LBP, a single salary field may not capture the employer's contractual or tax treatment. Convert the components using the payroll treatment actually applied, or verify the combined basis with Finance before relying on the estimate.
