This policy explains the browser technologies Salary Ledger uses or may use on the public website.

Essential technologies

These support security, load balancing, consent preferences and core site operation. They cannot always be disabled through the site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page usage and non-sensitive actions such as completing or downloading a calculation. Salary amounts, exchange rates, family details, employee references and uploaded payroll rows are not included in analytics events. For visitors in Lebanon and Iraq, analytics is on by default and can be turned off at any time. Elsewhere, or if we cannot determine the visitor’s location, analytics stays off until “Allow analytics” is selected. A previously saved choice takes priority.

Analytics cookies

When analytics is on, Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google documents a default expiry of two years for both cookies, subject to browser limits and any shorter configuration applied by Google or the browser. These cookies distinguish users and preserve session state. Turning off analytics stops the tag on the next page load and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this site; it does not erase data already collected.

Advertising

Google and advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver, limit, personalize and measure advertisements. Personalized advertising will depend on your consent and applicable law.

Your choices

Use “Cookie settings” on any page to change your analytics choice. The site asks before enabling analytics where required by our location-based policy. You can also change browser settings, clear stored data and review Google Ads Settings.

Current services

Google Analytics 4 follows the location-based choice above. Google AdSense ownership verification may be present, but advertising cookies and personalized advertising remain disabled until advertising is activated with the required consent controls.
